Following the end of World War Two, we meet Donny Novitski, a combat veteran struggling to return to every day life. In an effort to find a place, he puts together a band of five fellow veterans and one war widow, entering a competition for America's Songbook. Together they help each other come to terms with their experiences, their new reality, and ultimately share with the world that they are not alone in their struggle.
